The get better quickly at swimming the easiest way is to have a qualified coach or a knowledgable swimmer give you feedback on your technique. Coaches can be found locally or found online. There are many coaches who allow you send a video of yourself over the internet and they will email you back with advice.
Educate yourself: Just like a doctor studies medicine to become a good doctor, to become good at swimming you must study it also. It is much cheaper than a college education though! To achieve correct technique you need to watch the DVD’s, read the books and buy the programs which teach it.
